Wow. It's been a while, hasn't it? That's because when I was visiting indygirl last summer, I choked to death on a tofu ball. She was devastated. So devastated, in fact, that she held a seance and revived me almost a year later. There was a movie based on it, and Shelley Long played the part of the whacky, yet sincere and lovable, Pablo. So, things are good. I just finished my first year of college with a 4.0 GPA. indygirl graduated! YAY!!! I just turned 30. I'm about to start Salsa lessons with Leslie. I'm learning to play the piano. I've been dating someone, recently, but that's nunya bidnez! Let's see....what else? Oh, I've also survived an entire year as Timmy's roommate. I Should Have Stayed In School

Uh oh. I'm starting to realize that I don't know how to write for college classes. I have two essays due very soon and I've never actually written an essay. I dropped out of high school when I was 17 years old and finished the last year and half in night classes. Night school was nothing more than taking simple classes to obtain enough credits to graduate. I never took any of the college prep courses that are usually required during the last two years of high school. I never took any of the English Composition classes; I never made it past Algebra and Biology. Now, after 12 years, I'm noticing that I never prepared myself for college writing, math, or science. That is why I'm taking an Introduction to Composition class so I can try to learn how to write. However, I didn't expect to have to write essays for a computer class.

I really, really wish I had finished high school and started college when I was 18 or 19 years old. It's also much more difficult to comprehend new facts and ideas than I remember it being when I was a kid. I'm a little worried because I'm actually starting out with very easy classes....maybe even remedial classes. I can't imagine taking "real" classes. For the first time, I'm feeling a little intimidated. I've already spent two hours this morning trying to write one paragraph....and I have yet to write a complete sentence.

Well, maybe, that's because I was drinking when I met two of my old high school friends for dinner, last night. I'm not talking about indygirl. We can never decide on a place to eat together. Besides, I didn't even like her in high school. Anyway, I got together with a brother and sister (not mine) I had grown up with since very early childhood until around the age of 17 or 18. We had a blast, and they haven't really changed much. I was a little disappointed that neither of them had gotten fat or ugly, but whatever. They are both on their second marriage and they each have one kid. I still think it's weird that people ever have children, but that's their business. (OMG, by the way, I had a dream last night that indygirl was pregnant. IDK what happened!! I guess, her meerkat fell asleep or something!)

So, we sat at the restaurant for almost three hours cutting up and carrying on. It's weird how bad of a memory I have, because I didn't know what the fuck they were talking about half the time. They were very interested in my sexuality. I had to answer the inevitable question "So, when did you know?" and respond with the shocking and hard-to-believe "I always did...even when we were kids."

They couldn't understand why I never told them I was gay. I couldn't understand how they couldn't understand. I mean, we were like 14. I couldn't have come out to my friends at that time. They couldn't put their minds back into that time and recall what life was like. Oh, then the guy asked...."So, you were gay when we used to spend the night together and sleep in the same bed?!?!" I assured him that he was the only one who was sleeping.

Well, I haven't been spending much time up at indygirl's apartment ever since she dipped her chocolate in my peanut butter. I was so fucking mad! However, I started to miss that little cracker eatin' cracker, so I started following her home from work, again. I hadn't realized she was promoted to head hooker until I saw her working the corner of 82nd and Ditch Road. Talk about fancy. No wonder she's been acting like such a stuck up bitch, lately. Who the hell does she think she is? She ain't nobody! Okay?

Anyway, it seems to be pretty quiet around her place, lately. The Farmer seems to have accepted his fate and is doing quite well. I do, however, have just one major complaint. This non-smoking thing has gone TOO FAR! I remember when you used to be able to smoke anywhere! Not anymore. Nope. I can't even smoke in the comfort of someone else's home. All the ashtrays I had in her closets and under her bed....gone! There's also No Smoking signs posted. What the fuck is that? I mean, smokers have rights, too. When I'm watching indygirl get dressed or going through her clothes, I like to have a nice, relaxing smoke every now and then. Is that too much to fucking ask? It's not like I'm cooking a chicken or making meatballs, for Christ's sake! So, who am I hurting?

My life is boring, right now. So, I just thought I'd tell a story about an old fart I'm currently missing at the spoon. I worked in a liquor store for five years throughout my twenties. You know, before I hit it big and made it into showbiz. So, I spent most of my evenings with George, a 70 year-old great-grandfather. Now, most people would think this would be boring or lame but most people are boring and lame, so what the fuck do they know? He quickly became one of my best buds, and I had more fun with that old fucker than I did with many people I've even called friends throughout my life.

Weeknights were the slowest times in the store, so we had to entertain ourselves. We would crank up the oldies station because that's the only music he really liked. As soon as an Elvis song would start to play (which was about every ten minutes) George would shout "The King!" and immediately go into a little dance. By dancing, I mean snapping his fingers and shuffling his feet back and forth. He never danced to the beat, but it never failed to get me giggling and dancing myself. Yeah, so I danced to Elvis songs in a liquor store with a 70 year-old man on Tuesday nights. So, what?

Among many fantastic moments were when Ol' George would go off into one of his nonsensical rants. We'd be working or chatting or whatever and suddenly he'd shout "Damn aborigines! Damn those aborigines! They're nothing but trouble, I tell ya!" I still don't know what the fuck he was talking about, but it cracked my ass up. I would try to contribute to the conversations even though it was difficult. I'd usually respond with "Yeah, I know. Fuck the aborigines. The ones in Australia are THE WORST!" Oh, fuck. That'd get him going.

I had dinner last night with my mom and my little brother. She wanted to tell us that she and my stepfather are getting a divorce after 17 years. I can't say that I'm devastated by this, but I do consider the man to be a father to me. He's the only one that has ever treated me like a son...and my mother has been married three times. However, I'm used to this sort of thing in life and within my family. If you can't make it work, there is no point in staying together. They don't feel any animosity towards each other. They just aren't happy, anymore. It's very similar to the situation between me and my most recent ex. There is such a thing as an amicable break-up.

She also told us that she was ready to start dating, again. However, she wasn't ready to start up a serious relationship any time soon. Oh, GOD! Mom, stop copying me. Geez! I know you look up to me and all that, but stop trying to be me!

I Drank All The Beer At Pride!

So, I ended up going to Pride this year for the first time, ever. indygirl and another friend were kind enough to accompany me and share this experience. I'd always heard that Pride was really lame in Indianapolis and I never had much of a desire to attend. Apparently, this year was a good one with record breaking attendance. I'll admit that for the first hour or so, I was beginning to think it was pretty lame....until I started drinking! My fellow attendees then got to see me take off my clothes, kiss one of the hottest guys there, get felt-up by a cop (seriously, a real cop), and have "whore" screamed at me repeatedly. I was having a blast! I mean, who wouldn't be?

On my last trip to the drink tent, they had run out of beer. That's right! I had drunk ALL the beer. It was okay, though. They still had rum.

I don't know why. My roommate Timmy doesn't understand these "emotions" that I'm constantly having around the house. I have all kinds of them. He is baffled on a daily basis. However, since I've been single and dating, I'm reminded of how much of a chore it is. I've dated a lot, recently. I was seeing someone for a couple of months and I liked the guy well enough, but it was moving pretty fast. Also, there were a few differences that were nagging at me. Ever since I broke things off, we've kept communicating on a friendly level, but he has been expressing his disappointment on a regular basis. It has made me feel a little guilty. Even though I was always up front and honest with him, his reaction has made me feel bad. He's such a nice guy that it has bothered me.

Then, I get mad. It's not really fair. I've been rejected A LOT. I don't blame those guys or think they have done me wrong. They didn't do anything wrong just because they aren't interested. It happens to everyone at some time or another. It's not my fault that things didn't develop like he would have liked. Just because I'm the one who put on the brakes, doesn't mean that I'm the one to blame. Am I? Jesus. Sometimes, it seems like it would be easier to stay in a troubled relationship than to get back into the dating scene.

I know that I look like I'm barely 18 years old, but I'm not. Time has just been very kind to me. I'm a little intimidated by the thought of going to school. Of course, I could never deny that the woman can sing. I've just never been a crazy fan of the women that a lot fags seem to love...like Babs, Madge, Cher, and Bette. But, I like this woman. However, she was so horrible last night that I wanted to ram icepicks into my ears. What the fuck happened to her? Is she just getting older? Maybe, it was just a bad singing day for her. If I don't stop falling asleep in the sun. I've been miserable the last few days. I've spent lots of time in the sun throughout my life, especially when I worked construction. However, on Saturday, I became one fried mother fucker. I intended to float around the pool for about 20-30 minutes on each side. Well, I'm not sure how long I was out there, my front side was exposed for a very long time after I fell asleep. So, what did I do? I flipped over so that I wouldn't have sun on just one side of my body. I didn't spend as much time that way, but I got just as bad. Now, I'm in pain and my face is starting to peel like and old, stale taco shell. I feel like the very last burrito sold on a slow night at Taco Bell.

So, my 29th birthday was a hit! The fourth of May happened to fall on a Friday this year, which made it even better. The gang put together a Mexican fiesta to celebrate consisting of a taco bar, Corona, and margaritas. I got some pretty cool gifts like a stand for my electronic keyboard and a donkey blanket. Really. They really did get me a donkey blanket. I'm still waiting for the fucking donkey, but whatever. I guess, it'll just sit on my bed for the time being. Then, Joshie and indygirl went dancing with me afterwards. Oh! There was also a donkey pinata! I whacked the fuck out of that little bastard, too. He won't be causing us anymore trouble. I made sure of that. Condoms and candybars exploded all over the living room. Oh, it was great fun. We laughed oh so much!

Sadly, I still have all of the condoms and none of the candybars. I know, right? So, basically, I'm fat and horny. That's what 29 is looking like, so far.

Okay, so I'm not a big reality television show fan, but I was at a friend's house last night and I caught my first glimpse of Dancing With The Stars. First of all, I'll admit that I was entertained almost all the way through. However, do I really need another reason to want to punch Billy Ray Cyrus in the face? Anyway, I had seen that Madame Rouge had posted about this Joey Fatone guy, and he was really good. I was blown away by him. Then, I found out who he was. That's right. I didn't know he's a former member of 'N Sync. Well, that's not fucking fair! He used to be in a boy band and has lots of experience learning choreography. He's not an old sit-com personality who has never danced in his life. Is it really fair to put someone like him up against someone like Cliff Clavin?

I'm no democrat but I do agree it’s time to start pulling our troops out of Iraq. Bush and Cheney are butting heads with Democratic leaders over a bill taking shape in Congress that would give $124.2 billion to fund the war but also require that troops begin pulling out no later than October 1. It would also set a goal for combat operations to end by April 1, 2008. Cheney is arguing that this is just a political strategy used by some of the Democratic leaders to win votes in the next election and secure their party more seats in Congress. Is it? Well, maybe and probably. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad decision. Let’s face it, politicians are always trying to win votes. The Republican party never uses the issues to win elections. Never! What the fuck ever, Dick! Isn’t that why whenever elections come around, the Republican leaders jump on the anti-gay marriage bandwagon? You are also calling them cynical and irresponsible. You? Ha! Give me a break.

They don’t want to pull out because they want to first gain control of the violence in Iraq that we hear so much about. Don’t they realize that our presence has caused a lot of the violence they are trying to control? I’ll admit that I don’t really know a lot about politics and everything that has been going on with the war. I’m guilty; I confess. But, even I know that much.

I’ll tell you what, if this shit doesn’t get better soon, I’m taking all of my favorite gays and going to live on that new Earth-like planet scientists have just discovered. For those of you fortunate to live outside of Indiana, you may not be aware of the latest, offensive, religious assault to our sensibilities here. This year, our Bureau of Motor Vehicles approved and released a religious license plate. Ok, maybe that's not so bad, I mean if you are a jesus-freak that's your business, but then they waived the fees associated with it! What does that mean? It means that if I go into the BMV to get my registration, I have to pay extra money to get the regular, standard, secular license plate. It's fucking bullshit. And I am not the only one pissed off.

I'm Always At The Dentist

Seriously, it seems like all the time. Yesterday I got a crown. Well, a temporary at least. Then it broke in half and fell out of my mouth. It was very pleasant. I highly recommend it. After that I had to drive the 30 miles back to my dentist to have it replaced. But not all of it fell out. No. And the rest wouldn't come out. Not without a drill anyways. After pulling, and drilling, and pulling again, the piece finally came loose. Then I got a new temporary. The cement dripped onto my face. It didn't come off easily. Why would it? It's cement silly! After the procedure, my paper napkin-apron-thing was to come off. One of the clips was accidentally attached to my hair, however, so a nice big strand got yanked out of my head. Oh how we laughed! Finally, I was free to go at 4:55 to get on the interstate to make it back to the Northside. Hours of fun!

Spring Forward

I'm finally all moved and pretty much settled into the new place. I'm feeling better about the change, already. Of course, there has been a lot of work involved. Timmy and I have been busting our asses for the past few days, but it's finally all coming together.

I love spring. Everything is changing, and it's the perfect time of year for a fresh start. I still miss my cat, Pfeiffer, but I hear that she loves the new house. Having Timmy's dog around may help me with my separation anxiety. I think the next big change for me will be starting school. And since I turn 18 and graduate high school next month, this may be the perfect time.

Oh, and I'm still single! So, if you know a handsome, obscenely rich, available gay man, I'll be at the club workin' my game. HOLLA!!!
